Learn Welsh in Wales

The Centre is one of six dedicated Welsh language centres in Wales responsible for co-ordinating Welsh for adults in the community and making the language accessible to adult learners within each region.

The Centre, based at the University, providing community courses throughout its three main target regions of Rhondda Cynon Taf, Merthyr Tydfil and Bridgend. Its mission statement and goal is to deliver high-standard courses which include interactive and fun opportunities for learners at all levels to develop and learn the language.

The highly-experienced group of tutors plan each course appropriately to match each level's requirements and aim to meet student expectations.

This level of teaching and provision reflects the enthusiasm and encouragement provided at the Centre. The tutors not only aim to support the learners on their journey, but they also channel a lot of their energy into providing opportunities to make the students feel confident and able to use their new linguistic skills beyond the classroom.

The Centre caters for all ages and all levels from complete beginners to fluent speakers who wish to brush up on their writing skills.
