Successful completion of Welsh Language Training for Foundation Phase Assistants 3 June 2009 The Welsh Language training pilot funded by the Welsh Assembly Government and run at the University of Glamorgan Welsh for Adults centre, offers participants the chance to improve their Welsh-language skills and build confidence in speaking Welsh with children in the Foundation Phase. Each participant on the course had to complete a ten week programme which was tailored to their individual needs determined by course tutors. Jane Hutt today presented each teaching assistant with a certificate at the Senedd in Cardiff Bay and said: “The dedication and hard work of everyone involved in this pioneering project is fantastic. This is an excellent course which has proved a positive contribution to developing a bi-lingual workforce and benefiting our revolutionary Foundation Phase long into the future.” |
